Please reach us at braunsbirds2020@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
You can schedule a appointment to come see the birds available for sale. If you decided you want one that is still being hand fed (not ready to leave yet) you can secure that bird with a non refundable deposit via cash or Zelle. You will be provided with a receipt. If you want a bird but too far to come in person, we do accept Zelle. A picture of the receipt I fill out with all the bird info and your deposit will be text to you.
Deposits are not refundable "unless something happens to the bird (injury, health issue, plucking, deformity, etc)." So please make sure that you want the bird and have the funds to pay it off before placing a deposit. Talk to your spouse, your partner, your family before placing a deposit to insure that the bird will be accepted.
Most of our baby birds are close banded which means we use a ID band on their leg before they are 2 weeks old. This band will be written on your deposit receipt and will not be sold to anyone (see contract/deposit paper work for additional details) unless you forfeit it by changing your mind, do not pick it up when ready to go, or decide to get a different bird instead.
We only accept deposits on baby birds that are still being hand fed. There are times we accept deposits to reserve a bird if the person cannot make it down right away to pick up a older bird(s) and wants to secure the purchase of it/them. When your baby you have a deposit on is ready to go, we will contact you a week in advance to let you know that it is about ready to leave. The balance due on the bird will be paid at the time of pick up.
We unfortunately do not give "courtesy holds" unless the baby is old enough to leave and the person will be down that same day to get it. Too many people window shop and then change their mind which "courtesy holding" will tie up the bird for someone more serious about purchasing it. This is why we also do not keep a list of people interested. Takes too much time from our busy schedule to contract people on a list to find out they changed their mind, funds not available, found something else etc.
Yes, you will receive updates weekly or bi weekly unless you request to just be updated when its ready for pick up. We will usually text picture updates as the baby bird is growing.
This can be done if the bird is still available that you want to switch your deposit to. As long as you do it before the bird is ready for pick up and not after picking the bird up. We will just create a new deposit receipt. Please inform us of this change in mind ASAP as we may have turned someone down that would have like to have purchased the bird you originally reserved.
